Summary:

Plans layout, installs electrical fixtures and control equipment.

 

What you'll be responsible for in this role:

 

  • Measures, bends, assembles and cuts electrical conduit
  • Performs wire pulling through conduit
  • Performs splicing of wires
  • Connects wires to lighting fixtures and power equipment
  • Installation of breaker panels
  • Repairing of faulty equipment or systems
  • Installs and connects power cables and grounding leads to equipment
  • Installation of probes and transducers
  • Perform wiring of transformers
  • Tie in Compressor Panels
  • Transformer Wiring
  • Perform wiring of defrost, lights, receptacles, Fire-Stats and T-Stats
  • Measure and cut wiring harnesses for defrost and compressor wiring
  • Other duties as assigned

 

What are the qualifications:

 

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
