Job Description:

Summary:

As an Electrical Service Engineer, you will be supporting the engineering department at Allison Transmission. You will be responsible for supporting the test equipment and facility within the Engineering Operations Support Department. You will also be working with test engineers developing test solutions for control and function within the department. There will also be a focus on troubleshooting test cell equipment consisting of AC and eddy current dynamometers, ladder logic controls, and safety system. With the increase in vehicle electrification, this role will also work closely with the integration of hybrid electric hardware.

In this role, you will be a valuable part of the team by:

  • Support of PLC systems.

  • Support of AC dynamometer equipment.

  • Support of Eddy Current dynamometer.

  • Integration support of test hardware.

  • Maintain electronic/electrical equipment in the department.

  • Trouble shooting of test equipment.

  • Maintain schematics.

  • Working in a team environment.

  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience with the National Electric Code and safe electrical work practices

  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience with three phase power

To be successful in this role you will need the following:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (EE), EET, or equivalent.

  • 2 years of experience in an electronic/electrical environment.

  • Experience using AutoCAD electrical or equivalent.

  • Understanding of motor controls.

  • Understanding of electronic/electrical equipment.
