Salary:

Hunt Electric is seeking a qualified candidate to fill aHigh VoltageElectrical Estimatorpositionin ourSalt Lake City office.The qualified candidate will beresponsible for all aspects of bidding transmission, distribution and substation work.


The position requires ahigh level of electrical construction experience, andcustomer servicetobuild and maintain relationships.Experience with high voltage electrical backgroundis preferred.

Major Duties:

  • Bid and prepare cost estimates.
  • Prepare and oversee preconstruction budgets and scheduling.
  • Download drawings and bid documents.
  • Review contract drawings and specifications.
  • Reach out to vendors for quotes.
  • Job site visitsasrequiredprior to bid.
  • Create high level project schedule for bid documents.
  • Prepare bid letters and other documents asrequiredfor the bid.
  • Prepare and present all take-offs, quotes, bidlettersand other documents to the electrical division manager for review.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Five plus years of electrical construction, design, finance, and two years experience/knowledge of electrical project management experiencerequired.
  • Electrical Estimating Experience intransmission, distribution, switchyards, and substations.
  • Must be able to multi-task. Bid multiple projects at a time.
  • Superior communication and interpersonal (tact, diplomacy, influence, etc.) skillsessential.
  • Accubid/ Construct Jobsproficiency, or other bidding software.
  • Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook,Project,etc) and Bluebeam


Preferred Experience/Qualifications:

  • Experience managing projects and two years experience/knowledge of electrical construction, design, finance, and managementrequired.
  • Experience withAccubid, MS Projects, and Blue Beam Preferred.
  • Capable of managing multiple high-revenue projects.
  • Primavera P6 Scheduling.
