The Project Engineer position will assist and support multiple Project Managers and Superintendents in coordinating and managing electrical construction projects. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and excellent communication abilities to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards

Responsibilities
  • Assist the Project Manager/Project Managers with the pre-project planning process
  • Assist with tasks required to develop the maintenance of budgets. This includes reviewing field timesheets, material invoices, and monitoring progress.
  • Assist in the preparation and management of purchase orders, purchase order modifications, subcontracts, subcontract modifications, and requests for information (RFI’s).
  • Assist in the preparation and management of change orders in Accubid Change Order Pro. (We understand that this may require training in both estimating and with the Accubid Change Order Pro estimating system).
  • Help update construction documents, and distribution of the same to vendors, suppliers, and subcontractors throughout the life cycle of a project.
  • Ability to review and comprehend project plans, specifications, and contract requirements, and updating and modifying the same throughout the course of the project.
  • Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure timely and efficient project execution.
  • Ensure adherence to safety regulations, codes, and industry standards.
  • Travel required to conduct site visits to assist in monitoring progress and maintaining quality control.
  • Foster and maintain relationships with General Contractors, engineers, designers, and other external project team members.
  • Assist the Project Manager and Superintendents with material procurement and coordination.
Qualifications
  • Construction Management degree helpful but not required or a Related field experience a plus.
  • Minimum of 1 to 2 years of experience in electrical construction preferred.
  • Understanding of electrical systems, codes, and industry standards a plus.
  • Proficient in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with various stakeholders.
  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to project sites as needed (travel within Southern California).
