Job description

Electrical Engineer with hands-on experience in low and medium voltage power systems to support a heavy industrial operation. This role is responsible for ensuring the reliability, safety, and performance of the site's electrical distribution infrastructure.



DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Design, analyze, and troubleshoot low and medium voltage power distribution systems
  • Maintain and improve critical electrical equipment including switchgear, transformers, MCCs, and protective relays
  • Conduct arc flash studies and drive compliance with electrical safety standards (NFPA 70E, NEC)
  • Lead and support capital projects involving system upgrades, expansions, and equipment installations
  • Partner with maintenance and operations teams to quickly diagnose issues and minimize downtime



QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline
  • Experience working with industrial low and medium voltage power systems
  • Strong knowledge of switchgear, protective relaying, and power distribution equipment
  • Familiarity with arc flash analysis and electrical safety standards (NFPA 70E, NEC)
