Assistant Electrical Superintendent – Commercial Projects (Greensboro, NC)

$69,000–$74,000/year (based on experience)

TEC Electric is hiring an Assistant Electrical Superintendent to support commercial electrical construction projects throughout Greensboro and the surrounding areas.

This is a field-driven leadership role working closely with the Electrical Superintendent, Project Managers, foremen, field team members, subcontractors, and clients to keep projects safe, organized, on schedule, and operating efficiently. The ideal candidate has strong commercial electrical experience and is ready to take the next step into field leadership.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Assist the Electrical Superintendent with the daily oversight of commercial electrical construction projects
  • Coordinate field crews, subcontractors, vendors, project activities, and daily work assignments
  • Support project schedules, manpower planning, material procurement, equipment needs, and jobsite deliveries
  • Review electrical drawings, specifications, project scopes, and installation requirements
  • Monitor jobsite progress, quality, safety, and compliance with project specifications and applicable electrical codes
  • Communicate project updates, help resolve field issues, and assist with inspections, daily reports, punch lists, and project closeout

What We’re Looking For

  • 5+ years of commercial electrical construction experience
  • Previous experience leading electrical crews or serving as a Foreman, Lead Electrician, or similar field leadership role
  • Strong knowledge of commercial electrical systems, installation practices, and jobsite operations
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, specifications, scopes, and other project documents
  • Working knowledge of the National Electrical Code, jobsite safety requirements, and quality standards
  • Strong leadership, communication, organization, and problem-solving skills, along with a valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and the ability to travel throughout Greensboro and the surrounding areas
