Job description

Electrical/Mechanical C technician - 2nd Shift

Pay range ($25 - $33 / hour)

Summary/Purpose

Responsible for repairing and maintaining machinery, equipment,
physical structures, and plumbing and electrical systems of industrial
establishment by performing the following duties. (Must be proficient in all
duties of A & B positions).

Essential Duties and Accountabilities:

Read and understand mechanical and electrical
drawings. Able to make hand sketches
for Jig & Tool.

Thorough knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics. Ability
to repair replace or modify systems.

Replace bearings, bushings, slides and any other machine components.

Troubleshoot & replace pumps and motors.

Troubleshoot and maintain air compressor, chiller,
evaporator, and coolant systems.

Troubleshoot & repair servo amplifiers and motors
with minimal assistance.

Advanced welding skills including MIG, TIG and stick for
machine repair and or improvements.

Ability to use fabrication equipment including metal shear,
metal brake, saws, drills and other common tools.

Troubleshoot production equipment component failure and
plan improvements to prevent future failure.

Ability to understand PLC ladder logic to identify
trouble on production equipment.

Ability to use machine manuals and hard line drawing to
maintain electrical and hydraulic systems.

Troubleshoot and maintain CNC turning centers and
grinders. Able to make machine
backups.

Troubleshoot VFD's and motors. Repair or replace as
necessary with no supervision.

Rebuilding and repair of spare parts. Fabrication of parts needed for rebuild or
refurbishing machinery.

Troubleshooting and analyzing machinery after rebuild or
refurbish.

Coordinate and communicate with support groups (Production,
Jig & Tool, and Engineering) regarding rebuild and refurbishing of
machinery or spare parts.

Ability to oversee projects up to and including
rebuild/refurbish of machinery.
Ordering parts, scheduling, etc. with little assistance from
supervisor.

Maintain 5s in all maintenance and facility areas. Organize spare parts with
maintenance/rebuild shops.

Ability to train and assist others with daily maintenance
activities. Assist project crew & facilities when required.

Other duties as assigned.
Supervisory Responsibilities:

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Advanced troubleshooting, mechanical, electrical, and
fabrication. Ability to train and assist others

Education and Experience:

Associate's degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year
college or technical school; and /OR five to seven years related experience
and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

The performance of this position may occasionally require
exposure to manufacturing areas which require the use of personal protective
