The Electrical/Mechanical Repair Specialist will be responsible for planning and performing general electrical and mechanical work associated with the maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and preventative maintenance of manufacturing machinery.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities: The essential duties and responsibilities of this job are included but not limited to this job description other tasks may be assigned and expected to be performed.

  • Utilize PLC software for purposes of troubleshooting manufacturing machinery
  • Identify and recommend energy-saving initiatives
  • Identify and recommend safety and process improvements
  • Working safely following all applicable safety regulations
  • Ensure all work is completed in a neat and workmanlike manner
  • Working closely with production, engineering, and other maintenance personnel to complete tasks and projects
  • Utilize maintenance management system to monitor electrical and mechanical service requests and document all work
  • Work on ladders and lifts as required
  • Use of various testing instruments to identify machinery issues
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Industrial experience maintaining/repairing machinery
  • 3+ years working in an industrial environment
  • Electrical/Electronic Technician Certification or equivalent training/experience
  • Industrial experience maintaining/repairing machinery
  • General electrical knowledge through work experience or schooling
  • General mechanical knowledge through work experience or schooling
  • Ability to interpret electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic technical diagrams and documents
  • Basic welding and machinist capabilities
  • Proficiency with common hand and power tools
  • Ability to utilize electrical multi-meter and ammeter
  • Good electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to work as part of a team or individually
  • Ability to utilize various types of electrical testing instruments (power/control)
  • Good PC skills (MS Office)
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
  • Good troubleshooting skills (electrical and mechanical)
  • Ability to operate a fork truck, scissor lift or other industrial power equipment as required.
  • Highly customer service focused
  • The ability to communicate and work collaboratively with all levels of the organization
