Electrical Manufacturing Technician - 2nd Shift


Position Type: Full-time, Non-Exempt, Hourly

Reports to: Electrical Superintendent

Supervisory Responsibility: None

Location: Jacksonville, FL

Summary Objective

The Electrical Manufacturing Technician is responsible for the installation, assembly, and troubleshooting of electrical systems for modular energy and cooling equipment within a manufacturing environment. This role performs conduit and wiring installation, electrical equipment setup, high- and low-voltage terminations, and electrical support construction while interpreting electrical drawings and schematics. The position supports quality, safety, and production objectives through technical expertise, equipment maintenance, and adherence to established standards.

Essential Functions

  • Set electrical switchgear, panels, controllers, wireways, trays etc.
  • Read and understand electrical drawings and schematics.
  • Install electrical conduit and wiring on modular chiller systems per plans.
  • Terminate high and low voltage wiring.
  • Construct supports and infrastructure for electrical equipment.
  • Oversee and organize electrical tool room.
  • Troubleshoot electrical tools, welders, and grinders.
  • Able to research replacement electrical parts.
  • Responsibilities may require sedentary work, including but not limited to computer operation, video review, classroom or online training, job observations/inspections, and peer work review.
  • Prepares for ISO 9001 and other audits.

Supervisory Responsibility

Work Location

This position will work out of our facilities in Jacksonville, FL. This position is not approved for telecommuting or working remotely.

Work Environment
This position operates out of a fabrication facility. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is sometimes exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to a variety of extreme conditions at construction job sites. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud.


Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit. The employee frequently is required to walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand. The employee must frequently lift or move objects up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift or move objects up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision and the ability to adjust focus.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Second shift days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 3:00 pm to 1:30 am.


Travel
Travel is primarily not required with exception to local travel during the business day.

Required Education and Experience.

  • Basic math and language skills required.
  • 2+ years of commercial or industrial electrical installation.
  • Knowledge concerning transformers, LVMCC, HVMCC, etc.
  • Good understanding of the National Electrical Code.

Preferred Education and Experience

  • 3+ years of commercial and industrial electrical installation
  • Enrolled or Graduated from an accredited apprenticeship program.

Work Authorization
Must be authorized to work in the USA.
