Job description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Electrical Estimator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for analyzing electrical drawings, specifications, and other documentation to prepare accurate cost estimates for commercial, industrial, and residential projects. This role requires strong analytical skills, in-depth knowledge of electrical systems and materials, and the ability to collaborate effectively with project managers, engineers, and clients.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Review project plans, specifications, and drawings to determine scope of work and required contents of estimate.
  • Perform detailed quantity takeoffs and cost analysis for materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractor work.
  • Solicit and evaluate supplier and subcontractor quotes.
  • Develop and maintain a database of material and labor costs.
  • Prepare and submit competitive bid proposals and budgets.
  • Identify and evaluate project risks and opportunities.
  • Collaborate with project managers and engineering teams during pre-construction and project handoff phases.
  • Attend pre-bid meetings, site visits, and client meetings as required.
  • Track and analyze historical data for continuous improvement of estimating accuracy.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, building codes, and safety regulations.
Qualifications:
