About the Role
We are looking for an Electrical Design Manager to join our MEP - Prefabrication & Supply Chain Management team in our Washington, D.C. office. This is a full-time, in-person position.
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage the design process for Mission Critical projects, coordinating teams and deliverables.
  • Interpret electrical drawings and specifications; apply National Electrical Code (NEC) standards.
  • Oversee cross-discipline design reviews and ensure quality for MEP disciplines.
  • Address design and engineering challenges during design and construction phases.
  • Develop integrated electrical room concepts and manage subcontractors to finalize designs.
  • Communicate effectively, manage deadlines, and provide reporting to leadership.
  • Coach and mentor junior associates, fostering a collaborative and high-performing team.
  • Adapt to changing priorities and contribute to continuous improvement.

Qualifications
Required:
  • 5-8+ years in an engineering position, preferably with experience in Mission Critical projects.
  • Experience with design process and management of complex projects, including teams and deliverables.
  • Ability to interpret contract documents and agreements.
  • Strong understanding of electrical and controls, including NEC standards.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to independently assess and evaluate issues and have difficult conversations professionally.
  • High level of morality and ethics.
  • Strategic, solutions-oriented, detail-oriented, and flexible.
  • Independent worker with a collaborative mindset.
  • Highly organized and detail oriented.
  • Ability to coach and mentor others and receive meaningful feedback.

Preferred:
  • Experience with cross-discipline coordination and design quality reviews.
