Job description:

As the Electrical/Electronic Engineer – Aerospace Component repair support, you will support repairs for electrical and electronic aircraft parts and assemblies per the OEM CMM. You will utilize your experience and skills to interpret and implement evaluation, repair and test processes per the OEM CMM and test equipment provided.

Core Responsibilities

  • Evaluate electrical and electronic aircraft assemblies and parts to determine feasibility of a repair per the CMM
  • Disassemble parts with the intent to repair and restore full functionality
  • Use technical manuals, industry best practices, and knowledge of aircraft systems to achieve test requirements for repaired components.
  • Create repair instructions and perform test repairs to verify per the CMM
  • Identified opportunities to improve efficiency in the evaluation and repair process as well as set criteria per CMM guidelines.
  • Lead the set up new repair capabilities for our FAA 145 Repair Station per the OEM CMM

Experience and Skills

Required:

  • Minimum five (5) years of hands-on experience in a repair station or other production environment.
  • MRO Experience
  • Experience repairing or manufacturing one or more of the following types of parts:
    • Circuit boards
    • Actuator assemblies
    • Electrical windings (including motors, solenoids, transformers, etc)
    • Sensor assemblies
    • Torque Motors
    • Switch assemblies
    • Servo valve assemblies
  • Experience identifying or selecting electrical components such as capacitors, resistors, connectors, transistors, electrical wires for use in electrical repairs.
  • Familiarity with aerospace technical manuals such as CMMs, AMMs, etc.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills and demonstrated technical writing experience.
  • Punctual, reliable, and works well with team members
  • Proficient in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Proof of eligibility to work in the United States and a valid driver’s license

Strongly Preferred:

  • 5+ years of experience in commercial or military aerospace maintenance
  • Experience drafting electrical schematics
