We are a leading industrial mechanical, electrical, and civil construction services provider for the fossil and nuclear power, pulp and paper, chemical, mining, and general manufacturing industries. We provide a full range of industrial facilities maintenance and process maintenance services.

Job Summary

MOR PPM seeks a full-time regular Electrical Superintendent for Southeast Region. This position reports to Electrical Manager and will be required to travel 50%. with per diem eligibility. Total compensation package will be co-sponsored benefit plans, paid time off, company truck, signing bonus in addition to being a leader of your own projects. This position will be responsible for overseeing all the contract obligations as required by the contract specifications as reported to by the regional manager. Assist in estimating and managing the construction and/or maintenance for industrial projects.

Duties and responsibilities include but not limited to the following: 

  • Communicate with the various site managers regarding current contract staffing personnel status and staffing for future needs.
  • Coordinate with MOR PPM HR department to recruit, interview, test, and hire approved candidates.
  • Coordinate any personnel changes including placement among other departments, promotion, performance review, safety adherence, leave of absence and terminations.
  • Assessing the scope of work and assisting your team to meet the client's needs
  • Estimating and budgeting projects; creating bid documents to include work scopes and proposal forms (including trade specific proposal forms)
  • To bid and procure all work; using appropriate systems to facilitate and manage the information flow of contract documents, submittals, and Requests for Information (RFI's), pay applications, and other contract administration tasks
  • Supervising and coordinating the construction with the owner's ongoing operations to comply with the contract standards for schedule, systems commissioning, project closeout, quality, and safety.
  • Oversee and support processing of all contract weekly labor payroll and subsequent send to MOR PPM payroll. Scheduling this work for deadline input and accuracy of all data is critical.
  • Conduct new hire safety video training as well as conducting periodical safety audits throughout department. Respond and investigate all vehicle/equipment, personal incidents/injuries, according to MOR PPM Safety department procedures.
  • Communicate and report to MOR PPM Regional Manager on weekly basis and immediately for all incidents.

Experience & Training:

  • 4 years as JM Level Electrician Required
  • At least 2 years of Foreman/GF required
  • At least 2 years' experience in walking down jobs and preparing estimates
  • Experience tracking cost and construction data utilizing excel spreadsheets or industry software
  • JM or master's Electrical License preferred
  • Must possess high school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience in paper mills, fossil fuel power plants and/or industrial manufacturing is required
  • Experience with MS Office software, O365 preferred in windows, web and mobile versions. Intermediate Excel, Adobe PDR, scanners and mobile device experience is critical to completing tasks and reporting.

  • Possess excellent attention to detail and accuracy in a fast-paced environment with a proven ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Possess ability to work collaboratively and provide a high level of customer service to both internal and external customers.
  • Possess exceptional interpersonal/analytical/organizational, as well as verbal and written communications skills.
  • Must be able to work nontraditional shifts as required by the client with short notice.
  • Must have valid Driver's License with a clean driving record.

Physical Requirements/Job Site Requirements:

  • Must be able to complete hiring paperwork electronically through DocuSign
  • May be required to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds
  • Must posses enough strength and stamina to perform the technical duties and essential functions as identified above
  • Must be able to move in and around confined spaces and uneven areas
  • Must have full range of motion consistent with age
  • Must be able to climb and maintain balance ladders
  • Must be able to adequately hear and respond to voice commands and alerts from other employees, alarms and other job-related noises
  • Visual acuity, depth perception and color discrimination consistent with that required to work at heights and on uneven surfaces
  • Safety/Steel toe shoes are required.
