Job description

Job Title: Maintenance TechnicianJob Description

Join our team as a Maintenance Technician where you will provide onsite technical support in an OEM emissions testing laboratory. This role involves ensuring optimal operation and compliance through routine maintenance and repair of lab equipment and test systems. Initial training will occur on the 1st shift (7:00am to 3:30pm) for 4 to 6 weeks, after which you will transition to the 3rd shift (11:00pm to 7:30am).

Responsibilities
  • Perform scheduled maintenance and repairs on emissions lab equipment.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and control system faults.
  • Collaborate with testing engineers to resolve equipment issues.
  • Maintain documentation of maintenance tasks and equipment performance.
  • Ensure calibration standards and safety compliance protocols are met.
Essential Skills
  • Experience in maintenance and repair of testing or calibration lab systems.
  • Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
  • Knowledge of emissions test equipment and instrumentation.
  • Ability to follow detailed procedures and maintain documentation.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Curious and resourceful with the ability to learn independently.
  • Open to entry-level candidates.
  • Experience with plumbing, pumps, valves, and basic electrical work.
  • Skills in soldering, and dealing with heaters, thermocouples, and RTDs.
Work Environment

Work in a clean lab setting as part of a dynamic Dyno Team. Shifts include 2nd (3:00pm to 11:30pm) and 3rd (11:00pm to 7:30am). There is flexibility for shift changes based on preference and availability. The role offers an opportunity to work on a long-term, open-ended project with the potential for significant work demand increases. This is a great opportunity to get a foot in the door at a major automotive OEM.

This is a Contract position based out of Allen Park, MI.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $31.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
