Job description

We are looking for a talented Calibration Technician (Pharma)ย to complete calibrations, qualifications, and preventative maintenance on complex instrumentation within a GxP environment. We are a specialized technical services provider focused on metrology and regulatory compliance for the pharmaceutical and life sciences industries.

  • Work Location: Onsite in Holly Springs, NC
  • Employment Type: Contract-to-Hire
  • Rate Range: $25 - $50/hr W2 (DOE) + Per Diem
Daily per diem available for candidates traveling over 60 miles ($110 lodging / $68 meals)
DOE Pay Bands:
  • Level 1: $25 - $30ย 
  • Level 2: $30 - $35
  • Level 3: $35 - $44
  • Level 4: $45 - $50

This role is NOT eligible for visa sponsorship or C2C

Job Duties:

  • Perform calibrations, qualifications, and PMs on pressure, temperature, humidity, flow, and pH instrumentation.
  • Complete accurate and timely GxP documentation in compliance with site-specific policies and FDA requirements.
  • Support manufacturing and laboratory operations by troubleshooting and repairing pneumatic, mechanical, and electrical instrumentation.
  • Manage equipment and test standards with care, ensuring NIST traceability and proper substitution of standards.
  • Identify and report safety issues at the work site while ensuring all work areas are neatly organized and professional.
  • Collaborate with client personnel to provide technical solutions and identify value-added business opportunities.
  • Utilize Computer Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) to track and document all scheduled maintenance events.

Ideal Background:

  • 2+ years of experience in metrology, instrumentation, or calibration
  • Proven experience working within pharmaceutical, life sciences, or other highly regulated Quality Systems.
  • Technical proficiency with process control loops and laboratory equipment such as incubators, centrifuges, and balances.
  • Strong understanding of Traceability, Test Accuracy Ratios (TAR), and uncertainty ratios.
  • Ability to climb stairs, work on equipment such as tanks, and perform moderate to heavy lifting.
  • Working knowledge of MS Office suite and electrical safety procedures.
  • Associateโ€™s or Bachelorโ€™s degree in Engineering, Life Sciences, Electronics, or equivalent military training.
