MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

ABOUT THE JOB!
We are seeking a highly capable Electrical Engineer to support the ongoing electrical engineering and sustainment efforts for noise-attenuating headsets, microphones, earplugs, and communication systems within our Situational Awareness Value Stream. This role is integral to maintaining and enhancing the electrical design and support for our products throughout their lifecycle.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Lead the schematic capture and layout of electronic circuits (RF, power, digital, and analog) for legacy products, ensuring smooth transition from prototyping into manufacturing.
  • Generate engineering packages for manufacturing of printed circuit boards and system assemblies
  • Develop detailed system block diagrams and schematics to document support equipment used in manufacturing processes
  • Support field failure analysis and address quality concerns through engineering solutions or product alterations
  • Create comprehensive test plans, coordinate testing/validation, and prepare reports
  • Maintain electrical component database to manage obsolescence and allocation challenges, proactively identifying alternative components
  • Coordinate with supply chain to resolve manufacturing issues related to legacy products components
  • Contribute to cost estimation, cost reduction initiatives, and sustainment strategies across product lifecycles
  • Analyze and interpret test data using appropriate mathematical and statistical techniques, preparing technical reports and recommendations
  • Collaborate effectively with engineers, designers, and technicians to execute electrical engineering tasks for product sustainment activities
  • Assist in the transition of products from design to manufacturing, ensuring producibility and maintainability
  • Provide regular project status updates, highlighting deviations from baseline projections

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
  • Strong understanding of electrical engineering principles encompassing analog, digital, RF, and power electronic systems
  • Proficiency in root cause analysis tools and methods for problem-solving
  • Experience with electrical schematic capture and PCB layout toolsets; familiarity with Cadence Orcad and Allegro, is a plus
  • Ability to interpret electrical component datasheets and collaborate with major component manufacturers
  • Background in manufacturing electro-mechanical assemblies; knowledge of electro-acoustic components preferred
  • Familiarity with military qualification standards such as MIL-STD-810 and MIL-STD-461 is desirable
  • Preferred experience in electrical test development, including MATLAB programming
  • Effective communication skills for interaction at all organizational levels, both verbal and written.
