Responsibilities


  • The Electrical Engineer will design, install, and maintain electrical systems, power and automation systems.
  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical equipment, including motors, transformers, switchgear, and control panels.
  • Ensure electrical infrastructure meets operational demands and efficiency goals.
  • Ensure compliance with NEC, NFPA, OSHA, and other relevant industry standards.
  • Conduct risk assessments and implement electrical safety protocols.
  • Maintain documentation for electrical schematics, permits, and regulatory compliance.
  • Provide daily run-and-maintain technical and field support across refinery production plants, utility plants, the electrical distribution network, and the cogeneration facility.
  • Lead electrical projects, including upgrades, expansions, and energy efficiency initiatives
  • Support reliability initiatives, such as predictive and preventive maintenance strategies.

Requirements

  • The Electrical Engineer will have a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • 8+ years of electrical engineering experience in a chemical, oil & gas, or manufacturing plant required.
  • Strong knowledge of power distribution, motor controls, and automation systems.
  • Familiarity with high-voltage and low-voltage electrical systems.
  • Understanding of hazardous area classifications (ATEX, NEC 500/505, IECEx).
  • Must be legally eligible to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
