Job Summary:
The Inside Sales Engineer will provide customer sales and support for Commercial contractor sales of HVAC equipment and HVAC parts, and supplies. This role is an exciting opportunity for a self-driven individual who will be responsible for working collaboratively with the commercial sales team as a technical advisor and product advocate. The successful candidate will be responsible for configuring, pricing, and quoting technical and financial solutions that position CE as a viable solution for the customer and marketplace. This position is eligible for performance-based bonuses and incentives.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Respond to Business Opportunities: Respond to new business opportunities based on sales leads from Account or Sales Managers and generate quotes for commercial sales with assigned accounts.
Support Sales Team: Assist Account Managers and Sales Managers with new and existing accounts, and introduce new products to Engineers and Mechanical Contractors.
Complete Bids and Submittals: Complete bids, submittals, and take-offs based on plan reviews and specifications in support of commercial sales.
Follow-Up: Follow up on quotes, bids, and submittals to finalize the sale.
Customer Interaction: Engage extensively with customers, manufacturers, and the sales team via phone and email.
Training: Assist with training for our Commercial dealers as needed.
Issue Resolution: Resolve customer issues in alignment with the company's mission, values, and financial objectives.
Identify Sales Opportunities: Identify and communicate customer needs and sales opportunities to drive future growth.
Travel: Travel as needed with the Sales Team to support presentations and trade show activities.
Required Qualifications:
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications.
Ability to read architectural, mechanical, and electrical blueprints.
Basic understanding of electrical and mechanical control systems.
Maintain expert-level product knowledge and applications.
Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
Proficiency with CRM/Database tools.
Experience working with contractors is highly desired.
Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Strong problem-solving abilities with the competence to make recommendations.
Educational and Experience Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering/Technical Field or equivalent successful experience in a similar technical role.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
1 + years of commercial HVAC engineering or applications experience, or technical knowledge of HVAC.
