Job description

Electrical Engineer

In this key Hybrid position we are looking for Electrical Engineers who will be responsible for design, planning and engineering of critical, high visibility projects. Representing RWS in client facing meetings you will be the lead engineer, supervising a team of designers and drafters. There will be an opportunity to perform as Project Manager on selected projects.

Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Engineer on projects. Coordinating Project Manager and Team Leader as appropriate.
  • Responsible for the design and production of systems; including but not limited to attending meetings and site walk-throughs, performing site surveys, coordination with other disciplines/consultants, and preparation of narratives/reports, drawings, and specifications.
  • Assigned Engineering aspects of projects
  • Technical content of contract documents, including drawings, specs, report, etc.
  • Reviewing conceptual design with the Team Leader and/or Technical Director for Completion of projects/tasks to meet dates on the job list that they are assigned to.
  • Coordination with the project manager and other team members on all technical aspects of the project.
  • Ensuring work is within the scope of the proposal and on budget
  • Ensuring Quality Assurance/Quality Control process is carried out per RWS standards and informing PM
Education and Experience:
  • Design experience.
  • BSEE
  • Revit
  • AutoCAD
Qualifications:
  • Possess a strong technical background, and knowledge of systems and their applications for various commercial, institutional, medical, and public buildings such as healthcare, biotech, higher education, office, and large mixed-use residential buildings and hotels.
  • Some knowledge and understanding of state building codes, energy codes and NFPA codes.
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff and clients.
  • PE is preferred, not required.
