Seeking a hands-on Robotics & Automation Specialist to join a growing design team turning client requirements into fully engineered automated machinery and robotic systems.


This role owns the complete automation lifecycle, from interpreting customer needs and selecting equipment, to producing accurate electrical designs, developing complete PLC, HMI, and robot programs, and supporting commissioning. Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in industrial electrical design, controls, and programming
  • Strong PLC Programming experience
  • Strong experience designing automated machinery or robotic systems from concept through commissioning
  • Self starter who works well with minimal supervision and collaborates with multidisciplinary teams
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; travel to client sites required
  • Degree or diploma in Automation, Controls, Electrical Engineering Technology, Mechatronics, Robotics, or a closely related field


Technical Requirements

  • PLC programming: Allen-Bradley, Siemens, Omron (Must Have)
  • HMI development
  • Industrial robot programming (ABB, Fanuc, Kuka, UR), both on machine and in virtual environment software (Preferred)
  • ndustrial vision systems (Cognex, Keyence)
  • Industrial networks: Ethernet/IP, DeviceNet, ControlNet
  • Electrical design, schematics, and control panel layouts
  • Designing automated machinery or robotic systems from concept through commissioning


Key Responsibilities

  • Interpret customer requirements and develop complete automation concepts, including equipment selection and control architecture
  • Produce accurate electrical designs, schematics, and panel layouts for custom automated machinery and robotic systems
  • Develop structured, reliable PLC, HMI, and robot programs that meet project standards and client expectations
  • Collaborate with mechanical designers, electricians, and shop personnel during machine build, integration, and testing
  • Perform occasional field service work, including troubleshooting, system optimization, and support for deployed equipment
  • Participate in quoting, design reviews, risk assessments, and project planning
  • Maintain an ongoing commitment to learning emerging technologies and additional brands of automation hardware
