Job Description Electrical Engineer - Robotics Job Type: Full-Time Pay: $90,000-$120,000 Location: Fredericksburg, VA Position Overview M Force Partners is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer - Robotics to support the design and development of advanced robotic systems across medical, military, and scientific applications. This Electrical Engineer - Robotics role will participate in all phases of product development including requirements analysis, architecture definition, circuit design, prototyping, manufacturing support, testing, and documentation. The ideal Electrical Engineer - Robotics will have strong experience with embedded electronics, power systems, communication protocols, PCB development, and hands-on troubleshooting within complex electromechanical robotic environments.

Key Responsibilities Design and develop electronic systems for robotic devices including: Sensor interfacing Communication buses Power management systems Brushless motor controls Embedded processing systems Support full product development lifecycle from concept through manufacturing and testing Create and review: Circuit schematics PCB layouts Assembly drawings Wiring harness documentation Bills of materials (BOMs) Support PCB fabrication and board assembly processes Perform hands-on debugging and troubleshooting of electrical, mechanical, and control systems Develop and test proof-of-concept prototypes and integrated robotic systems Work with communication protocols including: CANbus Ethernet SPI I2C RS232/422/485 USB Bluetooth Support wire harness routing, connector selection, and EMI/EMC-aware electrical integration Assist with configuration management, revision control, and build documentation Interface with engineering, manufacturing, technicians, vendors, and cross-functional teams Support testing, validation, and integration efforts in both lab and field environments Follow all company quality and safety standards Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in: Electrical Engineering Computer Engineering Computer Science Related technical field 3-10 years of experience in electrical engineering or robotics engineering environments Strong experience with: Electronics design PCB development Embedded systems Power electronics Wire harness design Experience with: Altium Spice Oscilloscopes Logic analyzers Embedded system debug tools Knowledge of: EMI/EMC design practices Battery systems High-current DC power systems Distributed control architectures Experience with complex electromechanical integration and rapid prototyping Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills Ability to work independently within fast-paced engineering environments Strong communication and technical documentation skills Preferred Qualifications Master's degree in related engineering field Experience with: UGV systems Autonomous robotic platforms Military robotic systems FPGA/CPLD development VHDL or Verilog Device driver development in C/C++ Familiarity with military testing standards and regulated development environments Job presented by M Force Partners M Force Partners is a specialized recruitment partner connecting top-tier talent with leading organizations.
