Job description

Eatonโ€™s ES AMER ESS division is currently seeking a Electrical Engineer. Eatonโ€™s Electrical Critical Power Solutions Division designs, manufactures, and services Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) systems, surge protection devices (SPD), batteries, Power distribution, monitoring/metering equipment and three phase electronic-based products to ensure power reliability in the most demanding applications. Our employees deliver mission-critical solutions to our customersโ€™ most challenging energy management requirements.The expected annual salary range for this role is $71000 - $105000 a year.Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.What youโ€™ll do:โ€ข Develop electrical aspects of power distribution & monitoring products, per approved engineering specifications.โ€ข Conduct extensive hands-on laboratory work with high power electrical systems including batteries and UPSโ€ข Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate electrical systems with overall manufacturing processes.โ€ข Develop and maintain documentation and schematics for electrical systems.โ€ข Plan and test for Nationally Recognized Testing Laboratory (NRTL) certification of new and existing products.โ€ข Communicate and support engineering team, designers, and other personnel to implement operating procedures, resolve system malfunctions, and provide technical information.โ€ข Prepare cost reduction proposals for new and existing products based on cost trades, design improvements and Value-Added Value Engineering (VAVE) process.โ€ข Create and maintain accurate documentation of design concepts, tool drawings and shop orders in coordination with the Quality Assurance and Manufacturing functions.โ€ข Partner with manufacturing team early in the design process to ensure solutions are optimized for manufacturability, efficiency, and scalability.โ€ข Execute project activities with cross functional teams.Qualifications:Required (Basic) Qualifications:โ€ข Bachelorโ€™s degree in electrical engineering from an accredited institution with minimum one (1) co-op or internship work experience in Electrical Engineering.โ€ข Must be eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future.
