Job description

This role is responsible for project conceptualization, design, oversight of bidding and construction to completion of all projects assigned.  Electrical Engineer will provide client-ready design and construction administration services for facility infrastructure projects supporting our government, institutional and commercial clients in Delaware, Maryland and Pennsylvania.  This individual will coordinate with stakeholders, contractors, architects, engineers, and project teams to ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and in compliance with our firm’s standards.

This role is primarily a daytime position with office time in Wilmington, DE at least four days per week.

Position details:

  • Provide onsite electrical engineering oversight for client design and construction projects.
  • Monitor construction progress, schedules, quality, and project deliverables.
  • Develop & review electrical designs, specifications, submittals, RFIs, and shop drawings for compliance.
  • Coordinate with client staff and personnel, contractors, architects, engineers, and project stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with our firm’s standards, National Electrical Code (NEC), NFPA, OSHA, and applicable regulations.
  • Conduct site inspections and document project progress.
  • Identify construction risks and recommend corrective actions.
  • Support project scheduling, reporting, cost tracking, and quality assurance activities.
  • Participate in project meetings utilizing Microsoft Teams.
  • Assist with construction closeout and project turnover documentation.

Requirements

  • 10 years consulting engineering experience and at least 5 years as a Registered Professional Engineer.
  • Design experience with power distribution, power upgrades, emergency power, sub station upgrades, lighting retrofit, demand side reduction of energy projects (micro-grid, solar) ideal, security, fire protection, and other facilities infrastructure improvements, new construction.
  • Delaware residency a plus.
