Project Engineer — BPGS Construction, LLC

About BPGS Construction

BPGS Construction, LLC (“BPGS”) is a full-service construction management subsidiary of BPG. We provide a comprehensive range of integrated pre‑construction and construction management services for BPG and select third‑party partners.

BPGS has completed or is currently managing over $300 million in capital improvement projects spanning hospitality, office, residential, retail, and parking sectors.

Position Summary

The Project Engineer partners with superintendents and/or project managers to gain hands-on experience in all phases of construction field and project management. This role serves as a career pathway toward becoming a Construction Project Manager or Construction Superintendent.

Key Responsibilities

  • Participate in buy-out strategy and execution for assigned bid packages.
    • Prepare scopes of work
    • Facilitate the bid process
    • Evaluate bids
    • Conduct scope review meetings
    • Support final subcontractor selection
  • Review design documents for completeness, clarity, and constructability.
  • Manage RFIs for assigned bid packages.
  • Oversee the submittal process, ensuring design conformance and trade coordination.
  • Manage costs for assigned bid packages, including change negotiations and cost projections.
  • Support Project Manager and Superintendent with daily conflict identification and resolution.
  • Mentor Project Coordinators on the project team.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

    • Civil Engineering
    • Electrical Engineering
    • Mechanical Engineering — OR — an equivalent combination of experience and continuing education.

Experience

  • Experience in construction management, civil engineering, architectural engineering, or a related field preferred
