About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Electrical Engineer / Subject Matter Expert to lead the design and delivery of complex electrical engineering projects. This role combines hands-on technical design with project leadership, requiring close collaboration with clients, design professionals, and engineering teams to develop high-quality construction documents and engineering solutions. The ideal candidate will play a key role in driving project success while mentoring and directing design team members.

Here's a glimpse into your day to day:

  • Individuals may support other engineers or project managers as needed.
  • Research applicable industry standards, prepare and critique engineering studies, analysis of systems, preliminary and detailed engineering designs.
  • Develop and review engineering specifications and project cost estimates.
  • Direct and review work of project design team, check progress of work and alert managers to change of scope and additional services.
  • Coordinate all aspects of project document completion.
  • Direct contributing engineers and CAD designers for the preparation of construction drawings.
  • Possess ability to interpret applicable codes.
  • Independently work with code officials and other design professionals when an interpretation or exception to codes is required.
  • Coordinate project design with other engineering disciplines.


You'll be a perfect fit if you have:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university; Electrical Engineering
  • Professional Engineer licensure is a plus.
  • Minimum of eight (8) years of electrical design experience helping to create and review electrical drawing packages for a wide range of projects.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience supporting projects within the Pharma/Biotech/Life Science industry.
  • Experience supporting complex projects with laboratories, datacenters, or hospitals may also be considered.
  • Subject Matter Expert in Electrical Power Systems, Building Services Systems, Process Equipment, and other SHE Critical items.
  • Extensive experience designing, reviewing and approving Electrical Construction Drawing sets including but not limited to single lines, grounding plans, lightning protection, lighting plans, power plans, fire alarm, communication and security infrastructure plans.
  • Extensive experience with generator sizing software.
  • Interact with customers to gather critical information.
  • Working Knowledge of NEC (NFPA 70).
  • In depth knowledge of LEED, ASHRAE, IECC, and IGCC energy codes.
  • Knowledge of IES recommendations.
  • Experience supporting mission critical and/or secure facilities design projects is preferred.
  • Preferably knowledge of SKM, Easypower, or ETAP.


Candidates should have experience with the following software:

  • Microsoft Office applications - Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Project
  • AutoCAD and/or Revit (ability to open drawings, navigate, edit text, and print)
  • Masterspec


Compensation and Benefits:

  • Pay: $135,000-175,000 Annually (depending on experience)
  • Eligible for overtime pay
