That knowledge is key when it comes to developing high-resolution electrical models that expose system vulnerabilities and drive resilience improvements across critical energy systems. We're looking for an electrical engineer who can use their skills to strengthen how multi-million-dollar energy decisions are made across the Department of War, ensuring leaders have clear, engineering-driven guidance on where to invest for the greatest improvement to mission resilience.
At Booz Allen, you'll use your engineering skills to transform Department of War. Our team is at the forefront of delivering cutting edge energy and resilience solutions to customers who rely on their systems 24/7 to ensure our national security. That's why we need you, an Electrical Engineer,that specializes in electrical and reliability modeling that can communicate within interdisciplinary teams to help us develop the next generation of large-scale energy solutions within the Department of War.
On our team, you'll leverage advanced modeling tools to forecast energy system availability and contribute to targeted solutions for closing resilience gaps. You'll impact the Department of War by developing innovative solutions to real-world energy challenges and delivering solutions that maximize mission uptime across thousands of critical facilities. This is a chance to use your quantitative modeling skills while gaining hands-on experience in critical power system design.

You Have:
  • 2+ years of experience creating electrical models that can be used to provide data-driven content for technical reports
  • Experience with energy infrastructure, including electrical distribution systems
  • Knowledge of power systems design and reliability engineering
  • Ability to analyze electrical one-line diagrams for transmission and distribution-level electrical power systems
  • Ability to travel up to 25% of the time
  • Ability to obtain a Secret clearance
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Systems Engineering

Nice If You Have:
  • Experience with energy system design, including distributed generation sources, microgrids, and battery energy storage systems
  • Experience with programming languages and reliability analysis software
  • Experience working with the Federal government or Department of War
  • Secret clearance
  • Engineer in Training (EIT) Certification in an energy related field

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $62,000.00 to $141,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
