Hatch is seeking a talented and motivatedElectrical Engineer to join our team in the Houston, TX office. In this role, you will play a key part in delivering complex, multidisciplinary projects across the full asset lifecycle, supporting major clients within the mining, metals, energy, and infrastructure sectors. As a member of PDG, you'll contribute to the development of innovative electrical engineering solutions that enhance operational performance, improve safety, and enable longterm asset sustainability. You will work closely with technical specialists and project leaders to translate engineering concepts into practical, highquality outcomes aligned with client objectives.

As a key member of our electrical engineering team, you will:
  • Develop disciplinespecific designs, calculations, studies and technical documentation across concept, feasibility, and detailed design stages.
  • Lead and execute detailed engineering for procurement, supply, and construction activities.
  • Support the development of capital cost estimates and project schedules.
  • Provide discipline leadership within multidisciplinary project teams to deliver integrated engineering outcomes.
  • Participate in and contribute to formal technical reviews and assurance processes.
  • Offer onsite technical support during construction, commissioning, and early operations.

What you will bring to the role:
  • A strong commitment to safety, demonstrated through safe working practices and adherence to project requirements.
  • Proven electrical engineering experience within the mining and metals, energy, infrastructure or similar heavyindustry environments.
  • Experience preparing highquality technical deliverables - including project specifications, design reports, and engineering documentation.
  • Practical involvement in the planning, investigation, construction oversight and/or maintenance of operational assets.
  • Proficiency in performing electrical system studies (e.g., load flow, arc flash, protection grading) utilising power system modelling software such as SKM PTW, ETAP, or PowerCAD.
  • Additional experience in field instrumentation or industrial control systems will be highly regarded.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with clients, peers, and multidisciplinary stakeholders.
  • A degree in Electrical Engineering and 5+ years of professional experience; PE (or working toward it) is highly desirable.
