Overview

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer III to support major power distribution and infrastructure projects within the energy industry. This long-term contract opportunity offers hands-on involvement in electrical system design, high-voltage equipment, commissioning activities, infrastructure upgrades, and power system optimization supporting critical energy assets.

This is a power systems engineering role focused on electrical distribution, infrastructure reliability, and commissioning. Candidates whose experience is primarily Controls Engineering or PLC programming without significant power systems experience will not be considered.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, implement, and optimize electrical systems and power distribution networks
  • Develop and review one-line diagrams, electrical schematics, system layouts, and load calculations
  • Review contractor engineering drawings and technical deliverables
  • Support electrical infrastructure projects from concept through commissioning
  • Participate in equipment testing, startup, and commissioning activities
  • Evaluate and improve system reliability, performance, and safety
  • Support procurement of electrical equipment and materials
  • Collaborate with engineering, construction, operations, and project teams
  • Ensure compliance with applicable electrical, safety, and regulatory standards
  • Support integration of advanced technologies including automation, monitoring, and energy storage solutions
  • Contribute to infrastructure upgrades supporting pipelines, compressor stations, storage facilities, and related energy assets
Required QualificationsEducation
  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited university
Experience
  • 10+ years of Electrical Engineering experience
  • Experience supporting industrial, utility, natural gas, power generation, energy infrastructure, or related facilities
