Our company is built upon the talent and experience of our associates, and we are looking for a driven, team-oriented Senior Electrical Engineer to join our growing team. JOB SUMMARY: The Electrical Engineer utilizes expert knowledge and skills in the design and engineering of electrical systems for various projects, collaborating with the project team from inital concept through completion. The Electrical Engineer identifies and provides solutions to electrical engineering problems, performs on-site surveys and equipment assessments, and recommends conceptual designs to team and department leadership.  DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:Electrical design, engineering, and specifications for assigned projectsOrganization of the engineering efforts required to facilitate the project from initial concept through completionModify calculations, drawings, and specifications as needed or upon requestMaintain familiarity with the project's scope of work, engineering hours budget, and construction budgetApply best engineering practices, mathematics, materials, and other physical sciences to complete drawingsPerform site surveys and equipment assessmentsProvide project engineering coordination during construction Perform other tasks assigned within the scope of this role SUPERVISOR RESPONSIBILITIES: None QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical EngineeringMinimum of three (3) years' electrical engineering experience, HVAC engineering experience with a professional engineering firm, automation contractor, or mechanical contractor engaged in MEP related or similar work desired.Professional Engineer (P.E.) license is a plus, but not requiredValid (real ID) driver's license and reliable transportationWillingness to travel to worksites, up to 25% of the time KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES Basic understanding of electrical design and engineering and construction means and methods associated with the new or renovation of commercial and institutional buildings and/or similar facilitiesProficient user of Microsoft office suite; proficient in other software used in the construction industryFamiliarity with project management software (e.g. Procore, SharePoint, Bluebeam Revu)Proficient in AutoCAD and Revit Design softwareMathematical skills to perform the duties of this role, review or prepare budgets and other job-related documents, and to effectively perform the role of an electrical engineerStrong communication skills (oral and written); must be able to effectively relay information to various audience groups, including customers and perspective customers, managers, leadership, colleagues, and business associates; must be able to prepare professional written communications (emails, documents, etc.) Strong interpersonal skills: ability to foster and maintain positive working relationships with individuals internal and external to the company and from various backgroundsHighly collaborative and focused on sharing details routinely and consistently with team membersSelf-managing, able to work autonomously when necessary and effectively integrate with project teammates to meet deadlines and expectationsDemonstrate optimism and the ability to navigate challenges in a way that produces value, exceeds expectations, and promotes company successDemonstrate the ability to approach new and demanding situations with innovation and determinationOperate at a high level of speed and productivity, be sensitive to time and cost factors associated with their expertise, project budgets and company-wide financial goalsStrong organization skills with the ability to motivate and prioritize tasks; must be able to effectively manage own schedule with limited oversightAnalytical skills; ability to analyze data and potential outcomes; ability to evaluate problems and identify resolutions; good negotiation skillsMust demonstrate professionalism and tact in all interactionsAbility to maintain satisfactory attendance WORKING CONDITIONSThis position operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and filing cabinets.
