Job description

Amentum, a global leader in critical mission support, engineering, technology, and national security solutions, is seeking an Electrical Engineer to support a government contract based in Kings Bay, Georgia. POSITION SUMMARY * Monitor the computerized Energy Management, Base Power Distribution/SCADA Systems. run trend reports, track energy usages. * Responds to all industrial alarms using written procedures. * Monitor power distribution on the Kings Bay campus and work with the Kings Bay Energy Manager to look for opportunities to reduce power consumption and build in efficiencies in the use of energy in the BAS. * Reduce energy costs where feasible by maintaining environmental and temperature set points. * Interfaces with internal and external customers to satisfy utility demands. * May be required to work hours outside of normal work scheduled hours. QUALIFICATIONS * Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline (electrical/mechanical/energy management, etc.) and 2 years of Energy Management experience, a journeyman's certification in industrial HVAC and 2 years in energy management , or a total of 6 years of energy management/HVAC experience. * Ability to interpret drawings, trend graphs, services manuals and must be knowledgeable of HVAC/Building Automation Systems (BAS). * Knowledge in BAS systems: Trane Ensemble, Johnson Controls, SCADA etc. is desirable. * Certified Energy Manager certification (CEM) PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS OF POSITION * Visual and physical (hands on) contact of test-related systems, hardware, articles * Requires climbing, crawling, bending, and body mobility * Ability (where applicable) to distinguish colors * Must be able to interpret drawings, services manuals, reading of operational meters/gauges, use precision maintenance instruments, trend operational readings/graphs, and must be knowledgeable of component OEM repair methods and standards Equipment and Machines Involved in Work Tasks: * Control room test operation display/keyboards/mechanical/electrical control devices * Personal computers, computer terminals, related equipment * Safety and personal protective equipment OTHER: * Must be able to work in a team atmosphere. * Must put forward professional behavior that enhances productivity and promotes teamwork and cooperation. * Grooming and dress must be appropriate for the position and must not impose a safety risk/hazard to the employee or others. * Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret US Government Clearance. Note: US Citizenship is required to obtain a Secret Clearance. * Must obtain certification as a Certified Maintenance Reliability Professional (CMRP) or Certified Maintenance Reliability Technician (CMRT) within eighteen months of hire.
