  • The incumbent is in charge of all phases of electrical installations, inspection, testing, and partial contract administration of all systems and construction operations.
  • Provides expertise and serves as technical advisor on electrical engineering problems arising during construction.
  • Contracted items typically include substations, overhead and underground distribution systems, building power and lighting controls, fire alarms and electrical systems with related mechanical systems.
  • Assignments involve multistory buildings, large energy plants, state-of-the-art solar systems, hospital, and/or other large and comparably complex electrical systems for which job is technically responsible/authoritative.

This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD, Section
9905 to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service.

You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Minimum Education Requirement:
Engineering:
Bachelor's degree (or higher) in engineering. The program must: lead to a degree in a school with at least one program accredited by ABET. Degree must be documented on a transcript.

Specialized Experience:
Serve as the technical expert on complex electrical systems, resolving critical design conflicts when required; lead the review and approval of electrical submittals, ensuring compliance and maximizing energy efficiency for critical USACE missions.
