Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. What you'll do: Job summary The Design Engineering Technician will be responsible for assisting the Design Engineering Team with improvements to existing products and new product designs. Job responsibilities Work with Mechanical and Electrical Engineers to ensure successful completion of design drawings and design drawing updates.

Assist Design Engineering Team with the development of process and product improvement ideas based on feedback from customers, suppliers, and production teams. Participate in Design for Manufacturing and Assembly (DFMA) process. Collaborate with Manufacturing Engineers on implementation of product improvements.

Investigate transformer test issues and provide root cause analysis documentation to facilitate resolution discussions. When we embrace the different ideas, perspectives and backgrounds that make each of us unique, we - as individuals and as a company - are stronger. Qualifications: Required qualifications Actively enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program with an Electrical or Mechanical Engineering major.

Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship, now or in the future. No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of the work location will be considered.

Active Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation. Preferred qualifications Familiarity with full product design lifecycle. Working knowledge of CAD software.

Skills: Position criteria Willingness to participate or lead a multi-functional team. Willingness to learn and develop new skillsets as needed. Have an on-the-floor presence at all Richmond manufacturing facilities.

Working knowledge of basic computer systems including but not limited to: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook. Must have excellent verbal and interpersonal relationship skills. Ability to work independently conducting analysis for root cause identification and understanding how to identify problems and reach resolutions is beneficial.
