Your Impact:

WNA is seeking an experienced and motivated Electrical Engineer II for our Pittsburgh or Portersville, PA team. The ideal candidate will have professional experience and developed skills in designing electrical building systems, and a demonstrated ability to effectively contribute to projects from the initial design through final construction. The Electrical Engineer II will thrive in a collaborative, results-driven environment, contributing directly to the execution of our mission and vision. The Electrical Engineer II will report directly to the Electrical Team Manager and Principal in Charge (PIC).This opportunity is available at our Pittsburgh or Portersville offices.

Electrical Engineer Priorities

  • Support the preparation, development and design of commercial and industrial electrical power systems on a variety of MEP projects using applicable codes and company standards, practices, and procedures.
  • Collaborate with the electrical and project team members on all projects
  • Prepare technical reports, edit specifications, and assist with power coordination studies
  • Participate in the QA/QC process, milestone design review and inter-discipline cross checking
  • Coordinate and manage time to work on multiple projects concurrently
  • Review and weigh in on contractor RFIs, material submissions, shop drawings and support project & construction management teams
  • Participate in team meetings and design roundtables to improve internal processes
  • Be a contributor to the overall business development of the company

What You'll Need

  • Bachelors in Electrical or Architectural Engineering
  • Minimum 5+ years of post-graduation experience designing electrical systems for various MEP markets (Commercial, Education, Healthcare, etc.)
  • Work experience in architectural and building construction industry
  • Professional experience on MEP projects from design through final building construction
  • Developed knowledge of building, utility, and energy codes
  • Demonstrated experience using AutoCAD and Revit required
  • Demonstrated high level of personal integrity, professionalism, and self awareness
  • Collaborative and a strong desire to develop both self and others
  • Possesses excellent facilitation, communication, and analytical skills
  • Professional Engineer (PE) Licensure preferred
