Location: Mansfield, OHCleveland-Cliffs Mansfield Works is seeking an Electrical Engineer to join our maintenance and engineering team. In this role, you will apply your electrical expertise to troubleshoot equipment issues, improve reliability, support major maintenance activities, and implement innovative solutions that keep our operations running safely and efficiently.This position is ideal for an electrical professional who enjoys solving complex equipment challenges, working with industrial systems, and making a direct impact on manufacturing performance.Summary of Responsibilities :Troubleshoot equipment failures and identify root causesDevelop and implement corrective actions to improve reliabilitySupport planning maintenance outages, downturn repairs, and preventive maintenance activitiesCoordinate equipment inspections and manage spares and inventory cost controlsCollaborate with operations, maintenance, and engineering teams to improve equipment performanceSupport the installation and startup of new electrical equipment and technologiesConduct safety and quality observations and help address identified concerns and defectsAssist with developing and updating Job Safety and Health Analyses (JSHAs)Perform other duties as assignedMinimum Qualifications :Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field, or related equivalent experience3+ years of experience working with industrial electrical systems, motors, drives, and control systemsStrong troubleshooting and root cause analysis skillsStrong communication, analytical, and time management skillsAbility to lead projects, influence teams, and drive continuous improvement initiativesMust be able to work extended hours as needed to support operations, emergency repairs, and planned maintenance outagesApplicants for this position must be currently legally authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basisPreferred Qualifications :2-5 years’ experience in heavy manufacturingExperience with DC and overhead cranesKnowledge of melting and casting steel or other metalsExperience in a union environmentRelocation assistance may be considered for highly qualified candidates from outside the local area.Cleveland-Cliffs is a leading North America-based steel producer with focus on value-added sheet products, particularly for the automotive industry.
