Our Kennesaw campus is located at 1000 Chastain Road NW, Kennesaw, GA 30144. Our Marietta campus is located at 1100 South Marietta Parkway, Marietta, GA 30060.
Job Summary
Responsible for all aspects of the installation, maintenance, inspection, operation and repair of the electrical systems for both campuses. Provides guidance, mentorship and technical expertise to a team of technicians. Coordinates and schedules team activities, ensuring projects are completed within specified timelines and budget constraints.
Responsibilities
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Leads a team of electrical technicians including task and location assignments
2. Inspects buildings, fixtures, machines and other structural and/or mechanical units; performs minor and preventative maintenance
3. Assists other technicians on emergency and corrective maintenance
4. Performs independent and high-level complex maintenance work including detection and correction of mechanical systems
5. Performs minor installation or modification work on electrical and fire suppression systems
6. Works on active electrical systems, energized and de-energized equipment in compliance with National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) safety standards
7. Schedules in house contracting work for facilities operations projects and repairs
8. Assumes duties and responsibilities during leadership absence
Required Qualifications
Educational Requirements
High School diploma or equivalent
Other Required Qualifications
Current, valid and unrestricted driver's license
Current and valid Journeyman Electrical license or ten years experience in electrical construction service
Required Experience
Four (4) years related work experience with some supervisory experience

ICC Electrical Inspector Certificate or ICC Plans Examiner Certification (Active)
Preferred Educational Qualifications

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
ABILITIES
Load Calculations: Ability to calculate general lighting loads, conductor ampacities, and branch circuits while applying NEC standards and derating factors.
Installation Expertise: Proficient in installing wiring, conduits, and raceways, ensuring proper grounding, bonding, and physical protection.
Control System Configuration: Ability to configure control systems for lights, appliances, HVAC units, and other equipment in accordance with code.
KNOWLEDGE
Electrical Systems Proficiency: Understanding of residential and commercial electrical systems, including those operating up to 480 volts.
NEC Standards: Familiarity with the National Electrical Code (NEC), particularly Chapter 5, which covers special occupancies and installations
Electrical Component Setup: Knowledge of how to install service entrances, metering devices, switchboards, and protective devices in compliance with NEC regulations.
Motor and Generator Installation: Understanding of the requirements for installing motors and generators, including necessary feeders and overcurrent protection.
Lighting and Building Management Systems: Knowledge of various systems used for lighting and building management.
General Maintenance Knowledge: Familiarity with tools and methods used in general building maintenance and mechanical trades.
SKILLS
Tool Operation: Competence in safely operating hand tools, aerial lifts, and other electrical equipment.
Project Management: Capable of coordinating work assignments, monitoring project progress, and managing multiple projects to meet deadlines.
Excellent interpersonal, initiative, teamwork, problem-solving, organization, communication (verbal and written), time management, project management, and presentation skills
Blueprint Interpretation: Skilled in reading and interpreting electrical blueprints and schematics.
Proficient with computer applications and programs associated with the position (i.e., Microsoft Office suite)
