Summary
Delta Star Inc. is seeking a skilled and innovative Sr. Electrical Design Engineer to design and engineer medium voltage, mobile power transformers and mobile substations. What You'll Do
As a Sr. Electrical Design Engineer, you'll play a vital role in designing and engineering the electrical components of medium voltage, mobile power transformers and mobile substations. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop new design rules, address unique project requirements, and ensure bids and designs align with technical and customer expectations.
A Day in the Life
As a Sr. Electrical Design Engineer, you'll use your expertise to design electrical components for transformers based on customer requirements and industry standards. You'll analyze bid specifications to create tailored designs and develop new rules for designs that fall outside of our current product scope. Your role will include ensuring the accuracy and functionality of designs while contributing to innovative solutions that support Delta Star's reputation for excellence.
Specific Duties
  • Design the electrical components of transformers based on project specifications and existing design standards.
  • Develop new design rules for projects that extend beyond the established product scope.
  • Create transformer designs to fulfill bidding requirements and ensure compliance with technical specifications.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure designs align with production capabilities and quality standards.
  • Provide technical support and expertise to address design-related challenges during the production process.

What We're Looking For
We're seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented professional with a strong technical background and a passion for electrical engineering.
Position Requirements
  • Must possess a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or its equivalent (foreign degree accepted)
  • A minimum of eight (8) years of dedicated transformer electrical design experience is required.
  • Proven expertise in transformer design across all categories, with the ability to check and verify complex designs

Must live or be willing to relocate to within a reasonable safe commute to the assigned plant location. Must be authorized to work in the United States for any employer for U.S. based positions.
