Controls Technician (BMS and EPMS)
Location: Atlanta, GA (training in Columbus, OH)

JSET Automated Technologies supports Building Management Systems (BMS) and Electrical Power Monitoring Systems (EPMS) work in mission-critical environments, including data centers. Our field teams focus on safe work, clean installs, and clear documentation.

Great fit if you've been a BAS/BMS Tech, Low Voltage/Controls Tech, Power Monitoring/Metering Tech, or SCADA Systems Tech. Please note that this position will require travel for training to the Central Ohio area.

What You'll Do
- Install, terminate, label, and verify low-voltage control wiring per drawings and specifications
- Read and follow wiring diagrams, schematics, electrical single-lines, and network diagrams
- Install devices such as sensors, controllers, meters, gateways, and network switches
- Configure devices using a laptop and approved tools
- Set and verify addressing, firmware versions, and network settings
- Perform point-to-point checks, functional testing, and support system startups
- Troubleshoot power, signal, and communication issues
- Repair or replace devices, sensors, and wiring as directed
- Coordinate with commissioning agents, leads, and engineers to resolve punch items
- Communicate RFI needs to your Lead when drawings or scope require clarification
- Document installs, test results, and configuration details in Procore and required templates
- Track materials, maintain inventory for upcoming work, and flag needs to field leadership
- Follow OSHA requirements and lockout/tagout when applicable
- Support final inspections, turnover documentation, and quality control processes

What You'll Bring
- High school diploma or GED
- 1+ year of experience in controls, low voltage electrical, electrical installation, or related technical trade
- Working knowledge of basic electrical theory and safe work practices
- Basic networking knowledge (IP addressing, subnet masks, switching)
- Ability to read prints, wiring diagrams, single-lines, and network diagrams
- Comfort using a laptop for configuration, communication checks, and firmware updates
- Strong documentation skills using Procore and digital templates
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
- Clear communication and dependable teamwork

Preferred Qualifications
- 2–4 years of field experience in controls installation, BMS, EPMS, or power monitoring
- Familiarity with Distech, Tridium/Niagara, or similar BMS platforms
- Ignition Basic certification or Niagara experience
- Technical certification or post-secondary training in electrical, controls, or IT
- Experience supporting commissioning activities on construction sites
- Python scripting familiarity for data-collection projects (project dependent)
