ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES


We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Electrical Project Manager to oversee electrical projects from inception to completion. This role requires strong leadership, technical knowledge, and project management skills to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget. The Electrical Project Manager will oversee a variety of projects, including commercial, industrial, and custom residential (custom home) electrical construction.

Lead and manage electrical projects, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards
Manage multiple project types, including commercial, industrial, and custom residential (custom home) electrical installations and renovations
Plan project scope, schedules, and resource allocation
Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to guide execution
Provide technical oversight to ensure compliance with electrical codes and standards
Direct and support field teams, subcontractors, and staff to ensure efficiency and productivity
Collaborate with engineers, contractors, clients, homeowners, and stakeholders to maintain clear communication
Prepare, review, and negotiate contracts and change orders
Utilize project management software such as Procore or Foundation
Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement solutions
Travel to assigned job sites as needed to support project oversight and field operations
Conduct site inspections to ensure safety compliance and quality control
Manage procurement of materials and equipment
Track project costs, maintain budget control, and ensure financial performance
Prepare and maintain Work In Progress (WIP) schedules to track project financial status
Prepare and submit project billings to Accounts Receivable in a timely and accurate manner
Prepare and maintain detailed project documentation and reports
Oversee project closeout, including final inspections and documentation


QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS


High school diploma or equivalent required
Associate's degree or higher in Project Management, Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred
5+ years of experience in electrical construction (Journeyman/Foreman level preferred)
Prior project management or supervisory experience required
Experience managing commercial electrical projects required
Experience with custom residential (custom home) electrical projects is highly desirable
Experience in both commercial and custom residential electrical construction is a strong plus
Strong understanding of electrical systems, codes, and construction practices
OSHA 30 certification required


WORK ENVIRONMENT

This position involves work in both field and office settings. Project Managers may be assigned to active job sites or office environments depending on project needs. Fieldwork may include outdoor conditions, heights, confined spaces, and exposure to noise or environmental factors. Office work is performed indoors using standard equipment such as computers, phones, and other administrative tools.
