Casne Engineering is seeking a highly experienced and motivated Senior Electrical Engineer to provide electrical design and construction support services for our Engineering Services department in Bellevue, WA. This role offers the opportunity to work on complex industrial and commercial projects, utilizing advanced power system modeling and design expertise to support critical infrastructure development.

Position Overview

As a Senior Electrical Engineer, you will play a key role in designing power, communication, lighting, and control systems, supporting construction activities, and ensuring successful project execution. This role requires technical proficiency in power system modeling, protective device coordination, and arc flash studies, as well as strong leadership and project management capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Electrical system design for industrial and commercial applications, including:
    • Medium & Low-Voltage Power Distribution Systems
    • Emergency & Standby Power Systems
    • Interior & Exterior Lighting
    • Networking, Security, and Auxiliary Systems
  • Power system analysis and modeling, including:
    • Load flow studies
    • Short circuit analysis
    • Protective device coordination & arc flash calculations
  • Provide construction support, including:
    • Responding to equipment submittals and construction RFIs
    • Assisting with field verification and coordination
    • Facilitating project closeout documentation
  • Lead and mentor junior engineers in project execution and technical development

Qualifications & Experience

Required (Technical)

  • BSEE degree with 5-10 years of experience in the industrial sector
  • Proven experience in preparing detailed construction drawings, specifications, and cost estimates
  • Experience supporting construction and commissioning activities
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite, Bluebeam Revu, and PDF management
  • Experience using shared information portals such as SharePoint, Smartsheet, Newforma, and Procore

Required (Business & Soft Skills)

  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills with a collaborative, team-oriented approach
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to prioritize multiple projects and meet deadlines
  • Ability to travel to customer locations for site research, coordination, commissioning, and support
  • Ability to pass background checks (including possible drug testing, per client requirements)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.) in Washington (other states accepted)
  • Experience with engineering software, including:
    • SKM PowerTools, EasyPower, ETAP, SEL acSELerator
