Are you an experienced Electrical Engineer with a passion for solving complex industrial challenges? Our client is seeking a Licensed Professional Electrical Engineer (PE) to join their growing engineering team supporting major refinery and oil & gas projects in the Pacific Northwest.
This hybrid opportunity offers the flexibility of working three days onsite in Ferndale, WA (Tuesday-Thursday) and two days remotely (Monday & Friday) while contributing to innovative capital projects for industry-leading clients.

What You'll Do
As an Electrical Engineer, you'll lead and support electrical engineering design for refinery and industrial facility projects from concept through commissioning.
Responsibilities include:
  • Design electrical systems for refinery and industrial facilities
  • Develop one-line diagrams, wiring schematics, and electrical construction packages
  • Perform:
    • Load calculations
    • Voltage drop calculations
    • Cable sizing
    • Conduit sizing
    • Grounding design
    • Lighting calculations
  • Perform power system studies including:
    • Arc Flash Analysis
    • Short Circuit Studies
    • Protective Device Coordination
  • Utilize ETAP, SKM, or EasyPower software
  • Prepare electrical equipment specifications
  • Develop scopes of work and technical documentation
  • Prepare material requisitions and review vendor submittals
  • Evaluate electrical equipment and recommend technical solutions
  • Respond to RFIs during construction
  • Support commissioning, startup, and refinery turnaround activities
  • Coordinate with multidisciplinary engineering teams
  • Maintain project budgets and schedules
  • Ensure compliance with:
    • NEC
    • IEEE
    • API
    • NFPA 70E
    • NFPA 497
  • Participate in client meetings and provide engineering leadership throughout project execution

Required Qualifications
Education
  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering
Experience
  • 8-10+ years of electrical engineering experience
