IES Commercial, Inc. - DBA IES Electrical, seeking Assistant Project Manager, location: Nebraska, South Dakota, Iowa.     

Job Summary

   Assist Project Manager with the following:

  • Oversee Substations, Transmission, and/or Distribution projects to meet contractual adherence.
  • Develop and manage the project budget, financial tracking, and owner billings.
  • Develop and maintain the master project schedule.
  • Coordinate construction efforts with Management and site supervision.
  • Subcontract administration to ensure subcontractors meet scope, schedule, and budget.
  • Manage material procurement to support the project schedule and budget.
  • Provide technical assistance, i.e., interpretation of drawings, recommending construction methods and equipment, etc., as required.
  • Change Management
  • Quality and productivity of crews and ensure efficient use of materials and equipment.
  • Interface with clients, AE representatives, and others on the project site.
  • Maintain client relationships to foster long term client satisfaction with IESCI.
  • Provide feedback to estimating.

  Assist with adherence to the IESCI safety program

  Ability to work with multiple project managers.

  Travel may be required.

Qualifications

  • College degree in Construction Management or Engineering  OR minimum 2 years experience in Construction Project Management position
  • Knowledge of substations, transmission line work, or distribution work preferred.
  • Knowledge of utility line and substation safety.
  • Proficient computer skills, experience utilizing MS Office (Excel/Word/Power Point/Microsoft Project).
  • Valid motor vehicle operator's license
  • Successfully pass pre-employment (post offer) drug test, background check and MVR check.
