With a growing forecast of orders, we're expanding our Plattsburgh workforce and have several openings for Electrical Assembler. JOB SUMMARY

Electrical Assembler is responsible for assembling, wiring, and testing electrical systems within chiller units according to engineering specifications, wiring diagrams, and work instructions. This role ensures the safe and accurate integration of electrical components such as control panels, motors, sensors, and high voltage wiring into chiller systems. The assembler plays a critical role in maintaining product quality, safety standards, and production efficiency, contributing to the reliable performance of refrigeration equipment.


Here are some of the tasks you'll be performing:

Electrical Wiring Installation

  • Perform complete electrical wiring of chiller units from scratch, including routing, cutting, stripping, and terminating wires.
  • Install and connect components such as contactors, relays, sensors, motors, and control panels.

Blueprint and Schematic Interpretation

  • Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and layout drawings to guide installation.
  • Ensure wiring meets engineering specifications and safety codes.

Component Integration

  • Mount and secure electrical components inside enclosures and on chiller frames.
  • Ensure proper alignment and spacing for safe and efficient operation.

Testing and Troubleshooting

  • Conduct continuity and functional tests using multimeters and other diagnostic tools.
  • Identify and correct wiring issues, misconfigurations, or faulty components.

Qualifications:

  • Previous Electrical experience (preferred but not required).


Education requirement:

  • Post-secondary education or related experience.


To be a success in this role:


  • Electrical Wiring Proficiency: Skilled in cutting, stripping, routing, and terminating wires for high-voltage and control systems.
  • Have an attention to detail.
  • Have mechanical skills and be mechanically inclined.
  • Written/verbal communication skills in English
  • Ability to multitask and adapt to a highly dynamic environment.
  • Good reasoning skills and sound judgement.
  • Must be able to lift packages up to 50 pounds.
