Job Title: Electrical Engineer

Job Description:

Perform electronic design in a cross-functional engineering team to develop and launch new products. Utilize electrical CAD tools to support electronic design for embedded applications. Perform the schematic capture and layout of electronic circuits, including digital, analog, communications, and RF. Support debugging and root-cause analysis of complex electronic products. Apply machine learning and artificial intelligence to program field programmable gate arrays (FPGA). Develop detailed system block diagrams and wiring schematics for a variety of electronic applications. Use oscilloscopes, digital voltage monitors, signal generators, spectrum analyzers, and network analyzers to assess system capabilities and performance. Analyze and interpret test data, including the application of appropriate analysis and statistical techniques and summarizing that analysis and technical results in reports. Provide electrical engineering design support to Gentex design and development programs as assigned. Perform testing as required on products during product development including frequency response, distortion, power consumption, noise, RF emissions and immunity, etc. Develop software to support testing, data collection, and engineering design. Prepare written test reports and presentations and deliver with accompanying oral explanation.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering. Completed coursework must include machine learning, microcontroller programming, embedded system design, integrated circuit system design (including CPLD and FPGA architectures). Requires knowledge of schematics for printed circuit boards, Field-Programmable Gate Arrays, and Machine Learning Operations ("MLOps").

Work Location: 600 N. Centennial Street, Zeeland, MI 49464

Hours of work: Usually 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday

Travel: Various locations throughout the U.S. 10% of the time.
