Job description

Kick off your career in utility design! We're hiring entry-level talent to support electric design projects across PPL Electric Utilities’ territory. You'll assist with drafting, basic calculations, permit packages, and more, with occasional local field visits.

What You’ll Do:

  • Complete design task for associated utility design projects. Tasks include but are not limited to drafting, engineering calculations, easement validation; design/construction cost estimating & permit package development.
  • Managing multiple projects in order to assure timely, successful completion for projects resulting in high levels of customer satisfaction and company/departmental goal achievements.
  • This is a work-from-home position that has required fieldwork we’re hiring across PPL Electric Utilities’ service territory including: Lock Haven, Bloomsburg, Sunbury, Scranton, Wilkes-Barre, Hazleton, East Stroudsburg, Allentown, Bethlehem, Easton, Harrisburg, Hershey, Lancaster, Doylestown, and nearby areas.

Required Qualifications:

  • Associate's degree in Technical Related field preferred
  • 0-2 years of electrical/utility/construction experience preferred
  • Experience with AutoCAD, ArcFM/ArcMAP, Infor and Pole foreman preferred, but not required
  • Have reliable transportation.
