Job description

Senior Administrative Specialist

The successful candidate will perform administrative duties in support of the Elections Director. The Senior Administrative Specialist will have the ability to complete a wide variety of assignments in a fast-paced, customer-service driven environment. Duties will include handling of confidential information, drafting of election training materials and other documents, overseeing special projects, conducting election training for the public (election inspectors/workers), conducting election audits, assisting local clerks and staff with election administration questions, management of the Qualified Voter File, assisting with external communication, assisting with ballot programming and equipment testing, assisting with the meetings of the Kent County Election Commission and Board of Canvassers, and providing support as necessary to leadership of the Department.

Minimum Qualifications

High school diploma or GED combined with some post-secondary training in Business Information Systems, Office Administration, Business Administration or a related field and four years of progressively responsible and demonstrably successful experience in administrative support. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. Elections experience preferred.
