Job description

Dykema Gossett, PLLC, a leading national law firm celebrating its 100th anniversary in 2026, is recruiting to hire an experienced Litigation Project Manager. This position serves as a consultative partner to Dykema case teams and clients, supporting eDiscovery needs across the full lifecycle of a matter. Responsibilities include workflow design, data triage and preparation, processing, review support, and production of electronically stored information (ESI) in a defensible and efficient manner. The Litigation Project Manager collaborates closely with the Director of Litigation Support, Litigation Project Managers, Litigation Project Analysts, eDiscovery Engineers, and case teams to recommend best practices, implement technology-driven solutions, and ensure adherence to established protocols and client expectations. The Litigation Project Manager position is fully remote and open to our offices in Michigan, Illinois, Texas and California.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for case teams, providing guidance on eDiscovery workflows, best practices, and defensible approaches throughout the lifecycle of a matter.
  • Configure and manage Relativity workspaces, including user permissions, layouts, views, and workflow components tailored to case-specific needs.
  • Support data reduction and review optimization strategies, including deduplication, filtering, searching, analytics, and other technology-assisted workflows.
  • Coordinate with Litigation Support team members to ensure timely execution of processing, data loading, review setup, and productions.
  • Monitor project progress, communicate status updates, and proactively identify and escalate risks, issues, or delays.
  • Maintain accurate tracking and documentation of project requests, data handling activities, and production deliverables in accordance with departmental protocols.
  • Collaborate with external vendors for specialized services, including collections, scanning, OCR, and trial support, ensuring alignment with firm standards.
  • Monitor the Relativity environment for issues and coordinate with appropriate teams to resolve technical concerns.
  • Provide training and ongoing support to attorneys, paralegals, and clients on the use of Relativity and related tools, translating technical concepts into practical guidance.
  • Contribute to the evaluation and adoption of new eDiscovery tools, workflows, and technologies, including emerging analytics and AI capabilities.
  • Assist with processing, data loading, exports, and productions as needed in coordination with eDiscovery Engineers.
  • Draft and maintain documentation related to workflows, issues, and resolutions to support defensibility and knowledge sharing.
  • Collaborate with the Director of Litigation Support on departmental initiatives and administrative projects, including process improvements, technology evaluations, and other strategic efforts as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED
  • Strong proficiency in RelativityOne, including workspace administration, review workflows, and production management.
  • Minimum five years of experience supporting eDiscovery workflows within a law firm, vendor, or corporate legal environment.
  • Demonstrated understanding of defensible eDiscovery practices across the EDRM lifecycle.
  • Experience with data reduction strategies, analytics, and technology-assisted review (TAR); familiarity with AI-assisted review tools is a plus.
  • Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to attorneys, clients, and non-technical audiences.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
  • Experience with additional litigation support and trial presentation technologies, such as TextMap, Trial Director, or similar tools. Familiarity with multimedia formats, including audio and video files, is a plus.
  • Experience in use and administration of other litigation support software and technology, including, but not limited to: TextMap, Trial Director, or video/audio editing software.

WORKING CONDITIONS
  • This role operates within a standard business environment and is eligible for remote work, subject to firm policies and business needs.
  • Standard working hours are 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM Central Time. Occasional flexibility outside of these hours may be required to support time-sensitive matters or deadlines; however, after-hours requests are infrequent.
  • Work may involve collaboration with case teams, clients, and colleagues across multiple time zones.
  • Occasional travel may be required for client support, training, or other business needs.

The expected compensation ranges for this position in various states and jurisdictions are as follows:
Illinois: $120,000 - $130,000
California: $125,000 - $130,000
Michigan: $115,000 - $125,000
Texas: $115,000 - $125,000
