About the Job: You will be a part of our client's fast-paced, forward thinking development team as a Platform Architect-AWS and Microservices. You will bring a depth of experience and proven ability with you in order to supply AWS platform design. In order to be successful in this role, you must have working knowledge of Cloudwatch, EC2, RDS, Aurora, DynamoDB, Redis, ElastiCache, Elasticsearch, and kibana. Kubernetes, Terraform and continuous integration models are a nice to have! A willingness to take on any task or project is a huge plus.

Responsibilities:

  • Ability to translate business objectives into technical requirements.
  • Strong knowledge of foundational infrastructure components and network security across GCP, AWS and/or Azure cloud platforms.
  • AWS Cloudwatch, EC2, RDS, Aurora, DynamoDB, Redis, ElastiCache, Elasticsearch, and Kibana
  • Hands-on experience writing CloudFormation templates and JSON/YML.
  • Hands-on scripting knowledge and experience - e.g.: Python, Perl, BASH, PowerShell.
  • Familiarity with translating customer workloads into micro-service driven architectures.
  • 2+ years working in a development-centric role
  • 4+ years of experience with one or more continuous integration tools
  • Proven skills with Microservices
  • Architecture within AWS
  • Hands-on experience with Terraform or similar - e.g.: Chef, Puppet, Ansible
  • Bachelor's Degree required or additional 4 years of relevant Information Technology experience accepted in lieu of degree
