This Project Scientist opportunity is for a flexible and selfโ€‘motivated individual that is willing to learn and grow as part of a team while providing environmental assessment expertise to projects within the Sediment and Risk Assessment (SRA) and Remediation (REM) service lines at EHS Support. As a Project Scientist, you will be joining a highโ€‘performance team of risk assessors, toxicologists, ecologists, scientists, and engineers that is focused on providing highโ€‘quality technical and strategic solutions to a variety of clients. Your primary responsibilities in the Project Scientist position will include managing and leading multiโ€‘media environmental investigations for routine and complex scenarios under federal and state programs. You will also be responsible for managing a team of talented professionals and providing mentorship to junior team members.

  • Manage routine to complex projects with strict adherence to schedule, budget, and quality.
  • Plan and lead fieldโ€‘based investigations of multiple environmental media (e.g., surface water, sediment, pore water, soil, and biological communities/tissue) in various aquatic and terrestrial systems.
  • Ensure field programs are conducted in accordance with investigation work plans, data quality objectives, and standard operating procedures.
  • Lead analysis of environmental data in support of investigation objectives using Microsoft Excel and statistical software (e.g., R).
  • Prepare highโ€‘quality technical deliverables and presentations for effective communication of investigation findings.
  • Support development of ecological risk assessments under federal and state regulatory programs, including Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation, and Liability Act (CERCLA) and Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA).
  • Mentor and upskill junior team members.

  • 8+ years of experience in consulting.
