Job description

Based in Milwaukee and reporting to the VP EHS, the EHS Specialist will play a key role across the organization in achieving the company's EHS goals, with the focus on improving EHS management systems, reporting and regulatory compliance.

In this role, they will work with a diverse team across our global manufacturing footprint in the execution of our EHS strategy. They will be responsible for maintaining EHS information management systems, global applications and compliance tools.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement processes and technologies that support the organization's strategy, goals, and targets
  • Administer the EHS information management system and lead improvement initiatives
  • Oversee global site reporting requirements, report metrics and summarize trend analysis
  • Develop and implement training programs
  • Train associates on EHS management system elements and reporting applications
  • Create EHS standards, procedures and related documents
  • Conduct periodic systems and regulatory audits at manufacturing locations
  • Respond to customer EHS requests and surveys

Professional Experiences/Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in EHS or related fields
  • 2+ years of progressive experience in an EHS corporate or manufacturing site role
  • Must be a persistent self-starter who can work effectively and lead others with minimum oversight
  • Incumbent must be able to work effectively with all levels the organization and with individuals outside of the company.
  • Proficiency in the use of computers with knowledge of MS office products including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
  • Ability to coordinate multiple projects
  • Strong knowledge of safety and environmental regulations and consensus standards (OSHA, EPA, DOT, NIOSH, ANSI, NFPA),
