Job Summary:

The selected candidate will report to the Plant Manager and provide managerial and leadership support to the Procurement and Supply Chain Team to ensure Business Unit goals are met through the execution of procurement strategies. Procurement strategies include, but are not limited to, securing supply, cost savings, process optimization, and supplier risk mitigation. The overall goal is to support the production schedule while obtaining the best achievable value for supplies and services while maintaining compliance with company procedures.

Environmental Health & Safety Responsibilities:

  • Expected to assist in the implementation of the company's EHS value and policy statement and its accompanying principles.
  • Comply with all department, facility, corporate, and regulatory EHS regulations.
  • Wear all required personal protective equipment.
  • Report all job-related illnesses and injuries (per employee handbook).
  • Report all Safety, Health & Environmental concerns to your supervisor promptly.
  • Attend all EHS training.

Responsibilities:

  • Directly responsible for the overall Plant procurement operations, which includes direct, indirect, and Capital spend.
  • Provide guidance and leadership to Plant Procurement Specialists and Supply Chain Planners.
  • Collaborate with the value stream (Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, Quality, Finance, etc.) to ensure procurement strategies align with Plant and BU goals.
  • Share savings targets of plant-specific spend with Location Management, Category Management, and stakeholders.
  • Manage supplier sourcing, negotiations, contracting, and the execution of agreements to support plant requirements.
  • Monitor supplier performance and place countermeasures to resolve any issues that may arise.
  • Communicate supplier issues to BU Procurement, Category Management, and Quality.
  • Review Plant Procurement metrics and take the necessary actions to ensure Plant and BU targets are met.
  • Responsible to ensure Procurement retains compliance with all auditing agencies.
  • Ensure the successful execution of ERP-related procurement processes including system enhancement implementations.
  • Responsible for Raw Material forecasting, inventory management, cost management, and researching potential BOM issues affecting inventory accuracy.
  • Oversee ERP item and raw material transactional activity to drive inventory accuracy — including accurate cycle count program monitoring and maintenance for raw materials.
  • Manage project-related teams and plant procurement and supply chain initiatives.
  • Ability to be flexible and manage competing priorities well; understand how to balance various deadlines and tensions both within the business and between the business and its partners.

Qualifications

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in Business, Management, Supply Chain, Logistics, IT, Politics, Policy, Finance, Accounting, Data Science/Analytics, Marketing/Communication, Economics, Mathematics, or Engineering.
  • Minimum 6 years' experience in Procurement or Supply Chain.
  • Knowledge and understanding of procurement and financial best practices and compliance (Sarbanes-Oxley, UCC Laws, Import/Export Laws, etc.).
  • Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
  • This position entails access to export-controlled items and employment offers are conditioned upon an applicant's ability to lawfully obtain access to such items.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Procurement experience working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to write and negotiate complex contracts for the obtaining of goods and services.
  • Experience in Oracle or a similar type of Enterprise Business System.
  • Willingness to frequently visit the shop floor for a better understanding of Plant operations.
  • Customer-oriented personality.
  • Integrity and operates with utmost ethics; trustworthy; advocates for and complies with laws and audit functions; reports accurately; abides by agreed terms and conditions.
