Job description

MVPT Physical Therapy is seeking experienced and dynamic Injury Prevention Specialists to partner with employer clients in reducing workplace injuries and promoting employee health. These specialists work directly on-site, collaborating with safety and management teams to proactively address occupational risks.

In this role, you will:

  • Conduct ergonomic assessments and recommend remediation strategies
  • Provide coaching on posture, body mechanics, and safe work practices
  • Recognize and respond to early signs of musculoskeletal disorders (MSDs)
  • Deliver first aid and facilitate medical referrals if injuries occur
  • Collaborate with Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) managers to enhance workplace safety

Qualifications

  • Licensed Physical Therapist (required)
  • Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience
  • Strong communication and coaching skills

Work Hours & Travel

  • Schedules vary based on client needs and may include early mornings, afternoons, or evenings
  • On-site visits typically range from 1.5 to 4 hours per shift, once per week per shift

Duties & Responsibilities

  • While programs are customized to each employer, Injury Prevention Specialists are generally expected to:
  • Adhere to all site-specific safety and visitor protocols
  • Identify and coach workers on risky behaviors to reduce injury risk
  • Perform ergonomic assessments and injury prevention patrols
  • Identify barriers to safe job performance and communicate solutions
  • Conduct orthopedic assessments of developing MSDs/injuries and recommend first aid
  • Document all worker interactions per program procedures
  • Lead group or individual stretching programs
  • Present educational sessions on injury prevention topics to small and large groups
  • Track, analyze, and present injury prevention data to guide future strategies


Salary: $55 - $60 per hour
